Giving the Baby a Bath

You will want to test the water first to make sure that it is not too hot. There are a lot of aids for you to do this test. Lots of baby tubs actually have built in thermometer. Many of the bath toys that you will find also have a color changing thing that will turn colors to tell you that it’s too hot, of just right. For most babes, they like it at about 95-98 degrees. Not too hot, not too cold. Lots of people say that you should test it with your elbow, This is because of the fact the elbow has a magic power that will tell you the temperature. Just put enough water in the bath to cover there legs, or maybe none at all if your are going to give her a sponge bath. After you gently set her in the water, a nice thing for you to do for them is put a warm wash cloth on their belly. They really like this and it keeps them feeling warm. You should always have at least one hand holding the baby in place. Use a clean washcloth and first wash the face, eyes, nose and mouth area. Do this first, so that you don’t get any dirt or grime in her eyes from all the rest of the dirty baby. Clean the whole head, and in the ears. Then you need to kind of stretch the baby out to wash all the folds and creases on their chubby little bodies.
